One presentation. Six connected steps.

  1. 01 Know your audience.

Identify the people in the room, what matters to them and the response you need.

  2. 02 Write one connected story.

Shape a clear beginning, middle and end before building the deck.

What you will learn · Six connected chapters

Make your ideas easy to follow—and worth listening to.

Move from audience planning to a connected story, supporting slides and confident delivery. Apply every chapter to a presentation you actually need to give.

01

Know your audience & stakeholders.

A strong presentation starts with the people listening—not with a blank slide.

Identify key decision-makers, their priorities and the response your presentation needs to achieve.

Audience brief · Stakeholder planning
02

Write your story in one paragraph.

When slides feel disconnected, the story needs attention first.

Develop a connected beginning, middle and end, with a storyline you can explain and remember.

Story flow · Clear transitions
03

Tell the story through supporting slides.

Your slides and your voice should work together.

Build supporting PowerPoint slides with the right balance of text, visuals, evidence and purposeful animation.

Visual balance · Supporting evidence
04

Rehearse before presentation day.

Feeling natural on stage takes preparation.

Explore rehearsal methods Rehan uses: audio notes, mirror practice, camera recordings and practice with someone unfamiliar with the topic.

Practice methods · Buddy rehearsal
05

Deliver with presence & manage nerves.

Preparation matters—but nerves can still show up on the day.

Work on voice, body language, calming and breathing practices, recovery from stumbles and questions from senior stakeholders.

Presence · Nerves · Q&A
06

Build a feedback loop.

The presentation ends. Your development continues.

Reflect on your delivery, compare your recordings and learn how to request useful feedback from one or two key stakeholders.

Self-review · Stakeholder feedback

Why rehearsal deserves its own chapter

Who is this programme for?

People whose ideas need to land—in a meeting, a boardroom or in front of customers.

Participant profile

  • Leaders and managers who need to present strategic priorities, performance or business recommendations to decision-makers with a clear story and engaging delivery.
  • High-potential and fast-track professionals who want senior leaders to understand the value of their work and ideas, and are preparing for greater responsibility.
  • New leaders and subject-matter experts who know their content but want smoother story flow, a more natural voice and greater comfort in front of an audience.
  • Account executives, sales engineers and customer-facing professionals who need to explain technical solutions or make a clear business case to customer leaders.

More than a polished deck. A shared preparation framework helps colleagues give useful feedback and communicate more clearly. For individuals, strong presentation skills can support visibility and influence—but do not guarantee promotion.

A few practical questions

Preparing for the journey.

What should participants bring?

A real presentation topic, the intended audience and the decision or next step they want to achieve. Bring a laptop and any existing draft or suitable business information. You do not need a finished deck. We agree pre-work and presentation lengths in advance.

How do the two facilitated days fit into the practice journey?

A typical schedule is Day 1 for learning, Days 2–7 for independent preparation and two buddy checkpoints, then Day 8 for presentations and feedback. Exact dates can span 7–9 calendar days. This is two facilitated days, not eight days of classroom training. Both days can be in person or live online.

Is this a PowerPoint or AI software course?

No. The core is audience understanding, storytelling, supporting slides, rehearsal, delivery and feedback. PowerPoint examples and AI-assisted preparation support that process. Participants remain responsible for facts, evidence and the message. Agree permitted tools and any access requirements during consultation; do not put confidential business content into an unapproved AI service.

How much presentation and feedback time does each person get?

Each of the maximum eight participants has a 45-minute slot: 25 minutes presenting, five minutes of Q&A, five minutes of peer feedback and ten minutes of Rehan’s expert feedback. The final delivery is recorded so you can compare it with your baseline presentation. The eight slots total six hours, with breaks and the group opening and close arranged around them.

Is presenting comfortably a natural gift—or a skill you can develop?

You can develop a preparation and delivery process rather than relying on natural confidence. A Carnegie Mellon teaching study reported less apprehension and better perceived skill and self-assessment with presentation practice. It involved students, not this programme, and does not guarantee the same outcome for every participant.

Rehan has learned from difficult sessions too. After an early facilitation session went poorly, he reflected on what the audience needed, rehearsed differently and improved the next delivery. His approach draws on practice, feedback and refinement—not an assumption that comfort on stage is simply a natural gift. The aim is specific improvement, not a promise to remove all nerves.

How do we handle confidential topics and recordings?

Use examples and information that can be shared appropriately within the group. Recording can support self-review, but any workshop recording, access or sharing arrangements must be agreed in advance with the company and participants. There is no automatic public before-and-after showcase.

Can I get help with an urgent individual presentation?

Contact Rehan with your deadline, audience, presentation purpose and current draft. Availability, preparation support and coaching hours are scoped before a quotation is prepared. This is a separate executive coaching service; your quotation defines the agreed support. You can also enquire about event hosting or facilitation.
